A fantastic find from an extremely obscure boutique brand, the rich, the L'Anniversarie Maduro is the dark cousin to Foyle's Classic "Meteor Hammer." It's a medium-bodied Connecticut broadleaf maduro smoke that comes box-pressed filled with scoops of earthy expresso. To help impart a silky smooth finish, the wrapper on this stick is fermented under intense heat for 90 days until it releases its full potential. The result is a rich, dark wrapper that burns evenly with a razor-thin carbon ring. This uniquely forged wrapper dresses an Ecuadorian binder and a Nicaraguan/Dominican blend that forms an opulent mouthfeel and finish.
